For those of that read my previous Skull Candy Review under the cons I mentioned the audio issues on phone calls. I mentioned that people were having a problem hearing me. One day, I finally got tired of it, and I filed a Skull Candy Warranty claim.
I Sent the Ear Buds back
The Skull Candy Warranty Claim process is a huge pain. First, you file a claim on their website, and they give you a claim number and documentation to return the product. However, you have to pay to return the product. If it’s a problem with their product, they should provide a return label. The second issue I had the address they gave me was to a UPS facility. Upon doing further research on Google maps, it looks to be a huge warehouse where multiple companies do their returns out of. I paid for priority mail (2-3 days) and purchased insurance. I sent the package on September 25th, 2020, and the tracking is still not showing as delivered. I’m sure the United States Postal Service (USPS ) gets a ton of packages going to that facility.
I got confirmation
I got an email they received the product 6 days after I sent it. Later that day I got another email with a tracking number. The estimated delivery date of the next day, October 2nd, 2020. However, tracking the package shows that UPS hasn’t even received the package for shipping.
I feel like they are providing more fictitious information,
Finally, I got the Ear Buds
I finally received the replacement Ear Buds on October 6th, 2020. I have had them for a couple of weeks now, I have tested them, and they are working better than the old set. I’m not going to say yet that they are 100% better, I’m going to test them for a bit longer.
The whole Skull Candy Warranty claim process was a big pain in the butt. I know this post is going to be a bit emotionally charged as I rely on my Ear Buds for work and delivery. I use the GPS and the music, as well as phone calls if I get them while I am driving.
This will be the last time I purchase a Skull Candy product. I had some hope for them, as they are headquartered in the state of Utah. For those of you that don’t know, I grew up in Utah. I wanted to support them, however, the whole product and services they are offering are lacking.
