GoPro Hero 7 Black Review

GoPro Hero 7 Black

The GoPro Hero 7 Black is my go-to camera for filming all of my videos.  I use it for 99% of my videos, the rest I use my iPhone 11 Pro Max.  When I started my YouTube channel, I started out filming vlogs, and then I moved into filming moto vlogs.  I have used a GoPro Hero 3, 5, 6 and now I’m using the Hero 7 Black.

I wanted to upgrade to the GoPro Hero 7 Black because GoPro added image stabilization to the camera. However, If you’ve seen any of my old videos and compare them to the new videos, you’ll see a difference.

GoPro Hero 7 Black Tech Specs

  • 12MP Photo
  • SuperPhoto
  • 4K60 / 1080p240
  • HyperSmooth Video Stabilization
  • Rugged + Waterproof to 33ft (10m)
  • Live Streaming
  • TimeWarp Video
  • 8x Slo-Mo
  • Face, Smile + Scene Detection

With the GoPro app, you can control your camera, view your media, and stream it to social media.

The one downside to the GoPro is the only way to use an external microphone is with their Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter.  This is a $50.00 accessory that you can’t get aftermarket.

I have a setup on my Helmet that I use the GoPro for making my Motovlogs.  This allows me to create videos and upload them to YouTube.  However, this also allows me to use the video footage for insurance purposes if I ever need them.

Overall the GoPro Hero 7 Black is a good camera. I recently got the Hero 7 Black right before the 8 came out, so I haven’t looked into it. However, the GoPro has a pretty good reputation behind its name.

If you are looking into getting a GoPro, look into their Trade-up program.  You can trade in an old Digital Camera and get a discount on your new purchase.  I know several individuals that have done this, and they had a good experience.

If you have questions regarding the GoPro leave a comment and let me know.  If you would like you can Contact Me.
